5 Things to Do in Cali, Colombia
Are you watching the Jeffry Dahmer special? Craziness! I didn't finish it yet but shows like these are why Americans are so scared to travel.
Cali is a place that I had to pry myself away from because I had too much fun. So here are 5 Things to do when visiting Cali.
El Mulato Show - This is a Colombian salsa show with cabaret (acrobatics). The first 5 minutes will be amazing, and it continues to get better until the end.
Take a Hike - Though Cali is a city, there are many great places to go hiking. I fell in love with Cali on these hikes; it's a beautiful city with such beautiful countryside. Hike to Tres Cruces or Cristo Rey.
Experience the Salsa Clubs - Cali has hundreds of Salsa clubs, many of which are open every night of the week. You can't go wrong with La Topa Tolondra and La Caldera del Diablo.
Go to the Bulevar de Rio - This is Cali's nightlife center. All the locals go here on the weekend. Take a stroll here, eat dinner, and stay for a drink.
Take a Colombian Salsa tour - Cali is the capital of salsa, so if you don't learn about salsa while in Cali, you're missing out. There are many tours. I went on the tour offered by Ritmos de Colombia.
Bonus: Check out the San Antonio Area - There are lovely parks like San Antonio Park. It's also a location where many locals meet.
