Yesterday, I visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Revisiting the same museum several times is refreshing; it's more chill. There's no pressure to see everything in one go. Instead, you can focus on what's changed, making the experience much more pleasant.
I have a bad habit of just disappearing. If I get the urge to travel, I just go.
Once, I found a cruise deal, so I jumped on a plane and disappeared for four days...
My family doesn't appreciate my free-spirited urges, though.
When I came back home, I was surprised to see dozens of voicemail and text messages on my phone.
Apparently, my mom tried to reach me on my cell phone for days, but I didn't answer because there's no service on the cruise ship. Eventually, she called the police, but not enough time had passed to conduct a search.
Therefore, the only thing she could do in the meantime was to search my apartment.
Fun fact: All of my family members are scaredy cats, so they were not about to search my apartment. A dead body could be marinating.
So, what did they do?
They gave the grunt work to the little one... my younger brother.
At 14, he was voluntold tasked with searching the apartment for his potentially deceased older brother.
Terrorizing my siblings gives me joy. 🥰
So, what's the point?
Tell your family where you're going.
If I had used the "Share location" feature on my phone, my family would always know where I am, even when I get bitten by the travel bug.
Now, I always keep this feature on so I don't need to think about it.
This is also very useful when traveling in a group.
Give it a try.
Do you use the "Share Your Location" feature on your phone?
