5 Things to Do in Phoenix/Sedona that Doesn’t Involve Hiking

Everybody knows to go hiking in Phoenix so I’m going to cover other fun things to do in the area:

  • Stargazing Tour - Sedona’s arid climate is perfect for stargazing. Learn about constellations and see some shooting stars. Make sure you pick a tour that has many telescopes. Here’s my feeble attempt at night time photography during the tour.

  • ATV Excursion - Experience scenic views with the thrill of driving ATV’s! Don’t drive too crazy because flipping an ATV will cost you serious $$$. I almost flipped mine acting thinking I was Vin Diesel.

Desert Belle Boat Tour

  • Heard Museum - Native American museum that is a must see. I don’t want to give anything away but visit the second floor of the museum.

    • Side Note: The museum has enthusiastic volunteers that'll any answer question. This one volunteer followed us around that we got a free private tour. Please tip them if this happens to you.

  • Arizona Science Center - An interactive science museum like the Franklin Institute in Philly. I had so much fun that I would go again. If the kids are hogging up the exhibits, feel free to push them out of the way.
