I'm currently in Marrakech, Morocco. The people are still celebrating in the streets from yesterday's World Cup victory against Belgium.
I will cover something I often take for granted because it's intuitive to me. Pack as light as possible!
Why packing light is
important:
Overpacking slows everything down.
- I fit all of my items in my carry-on luggage, so I'm off to explore the city once the plane lands. I waive 'adios' to all the people stuck at the airport waiting for their luggage in baggage claim.
- Overpacking also limits the transportation options that you can take (i.e., cars, buses, trains, etc.) Even if these transportation options aren't available, I can always walk to where I need to go. Good luck hauling all that luggage on cobblestones
or up a flight of stairs.

Overpacking is more expensive.
- Depending on the airline taken, checking luggage can add hundreds of dollars to your trip. For example, checking luggage to Morocco would have added $200 extra to the flight costs. Do you know much couscous I can eat for that money?!

Honestly, I check luggage at times but only if I'm traveling for an extended period.
If you're traveling for less than two weeks, be on Team Carry-On bruh.
The next issue is going to talk about how to pack more efficiently.
